How Can a Future Labour Government Deliver the Social Homes We Need?

On 16 November 2023, Alex Diner joined us to discuss the recent housebuilding plans announced by Labour at the 2023 party conference, and what this might mean for social housing, as well as discussing Alex’s new paper on how housing acquisitions can regenerate left behind communities, improve standards, and decarbonise homes (Available to read here).

Alex is a senior researcher at the New Economics Foundation, focussing on housing policy. He has previously worked as a solicitor, representing bereaved and survivors from the Grenfell Tower disaster. He has also worked as a political adviser in parliament, and has been a local councillor in an inner London local authority.
