Setting up an LHG Regional Branch

Get Involved – Setting up an LHG Regional Branch

Labour Housing Group recognises that housing needs and priorities differ widely across the United Kingdom. We are therefore strongly supportive of initiatives by members to set up regional branches and work on campaigns relevant to their local areas. Regional branches are also an opportunity to hold social and networking events with other local members, and to organise campaign days for Labour candidates standing in the region.

LHG currently has two active regional branches: the North East Branch and the London Branch. At our Policy Day in 2024, we also formally approved the launch of a new West Midlands Branch, and efforts are currently underway to relaunch the South West and North West Branches.

If you are an LHG member living in an region not currently covered by one of these branches, or would like to participate in the ongoing efforts to relaunch a dormant branch, please contact us the LHG Branch Secretary – we would love to hear from you.

Please note that LHG rules require that a region must have a minimum of ten members in good standing before a branch can be launched.
