We are pleased to announce the next event in our ‘In Conversation With…’ series, with Dr Tom Archer.

Dr Tom Archer is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR). Specialising in housing and community development, his work focuses on the affordability and supply of housing, and the collective ownership of physical assets. Tom has a background in policy and housing delivery, and his work aims to improve policymaking and the use of government and charitable funding. Tom’s recent work has centred on community-led housing, private housebuilding, housing for older people, and community ownership of assets. His work on volume housebuilders featured in the BBC Two documentary Britain’s Housing Crisis: What Went Wrong? which aired in 2023. This revealed striking trends in dividends, profits and processes of value extraction.
