Ending Furniture Poverty

This February we hosted a conversation with Claire Donovan, Head of Policy and Campaigns at End Furniture Poverty.

Furniture poverty is pervasive yet too often hidden behind front doors. Research has shown that at least 6 million people in the UK are currently living without essential furniture, furnishings, and appliances. In this event we discussed the extent of this problem, its impact, and how we can start to deliver practical change.

Claire Donovan, a former journalist, is the Head of Policy, Research and Campaigns at End Furniture Poverty, which raises awareness of the issue of Furniture Poverty; carries out research to highlight
the consequences and reality of living in Furniture Poverty; and develops solutions. Claire is also a trustee of the Reuse Network.
