Socialist Society affiliated to the Labour Party, for Labour members who care about housing and homelessness
All LHG members must be members of the Labour Party. Membership is either as an individual member or as part of a group such as a Constituency Labour Party, an affiliated Trade Union branch, or a Labour Group.
All members must accept the Constitution of LHG and share its Objectives as set out in the LHG Membership Application Form. Membership starts when the member’s first annual subscription is received by LHG.
LHG is governed by its members. The day-to-day administration of LHG, and responsibility for developing LHG policy, sits with the Executive Committee (EC).
The LHG EC is responsible to and accountable to the Annual General Meeting, and is elected by members every two years, with the ballot taking place just before the AGM and being announced at the AGM. There are currently 10 EC members plus a number of co-opted EC members.
Any LHG member may put themselves forward to stand for the EC provided they have been a fully paid-up member of LHG at least six months before the date of the AGM.
You can see here who our current EC members are and their roles.
