Can Housing Associations be Large AND Local?

Gary Orr is Group Chief Executive at Abri, a housing association with some 55,000 homes across London and the South. In December 2024 one of the founders of the social housing sector, Octavia Housing, elected to join the Abri Group.

Gary also Chairs the Greener Futures Partnership, a consortium of HAs working to achieve net zero for some 320,000 homes. He is a member of the Bank of England Residential Property Forum and also Chairs the National Delivery Group (NDG) that convenes the 21 largest developing housing associations..

Gary started his housing career in Belfast as a housing officer and has subsequently held a number of housing management and development roles across the UK. In a career spanning 30 years, Abri is his fourth CEO role.
